We are going through a sustained period of growth and currently have an opportunity for a mid-level commercial lawyer to join our team. This role would suit a commercial lawyer who has hands on commercial experience, either from a firm or in-house. Just as important as your technical expertise will be your ability to fit within the team and work closely with the business.

The role: 
You will provide pragmatic legal solutions across a broad range of commercial and regulatory matters, including:

  • Negotiating and drafting standard trading terms and conditions with key suppliers and clients
  • Experience with IP
  • Advice and support on business operations, capital works and mergers & acquisitions
  • Compliance with relevant legislation
  • Reviewing marketing, website and social media material
  • Managing additional external legal resources as necessary

 

Ideally you will have:

  • At least 3 years post qualification experience and hold a current practicing certificate
  • Confidence and a personable and pragmatic approach and be commercially sensible while protecting legal risks
  • Experience negotiating, reviewing and advising on a wide range of commercial agreements, including procurement agreements
  • A keen awareness for dealing with internal stakeholders and external parties 
  • The ability to work autonomously, and proactively collaborate with others within the business
  • Have experience and feel comfortable with statutory interpretation
  • Experience with broad and varied work
  • Flexibility, adaptability and a team-oriented attitude
