As the Manufacturing Cost accountant, you will be business partnering with the Manufacturing and Supply Chain team to provide support and expertise in costing and costing analysis and influence operational decisions from a financial perspective.  We are searching for a qualified Accountant who has CA, CPA or CIMA qualifications and significant experience in a manufacturing environment where you are engaging with the operations teams. 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing costs, inventory, and metrics across the business
  • Developing and maintaining a costing model and standard costings in the system
  • Supporting daily costing processes and annual standard cost settings.
  • Collation & preparation of all general ledger inventory reconciliations.
  • Reviewing all key metrics of workforce planning.
  • Calculating, reviewing, and ensuring accuracy in standard costs including reviews of purchase price variance and production variances.
  • Stock revaluation analysis and processing.
  • Ensuring compliance of all financial controls are followed including inventory management and cycle counts.
  • Working with Key stakeholders to Identify and drive process improvements in the business.
  • Assisting with budgets / forecast preparation.
  • Analysis of production variances and investigation into yield and wastage
  • Review and analyse standard costs vs actual performance and initial costings. Propose amendments for discrepancies identified within the system.
